5 Napkin Burger

Well I have to admit I was a little skeptical about trying this place because it has such mixed reviews..... I've heard really good things about it but unfortunately have read quite the opposite. So here is my exp. Drinks: Gin and Herbs - Different?? I couldn't tell if I liked it at first but did not hesitate to order a second. Apps: Sushi - I can't remember the names of the 2 rolls we ordered but they were both spicy and excellent!! Dinner: 5 Napkin Burger med-rare (of course) Turkey Burger and the Bacon Cheddar Burger med-rare (all cooked perfectly, we put all three in the middle and went at it!!) To sum it up the food was awesome and the service was great!! I'm not sure what one would expect going to a burger place, but we were quite impressed. The place was trendy, jam packed with a lively crowd. (Which I have to admit says a lot these days, not to mention the several empty restaurants we passed along the way) Do not always take to fact what you read, if you want great sushi AND great burgers (who would have thought) you should definitely try this place out . Highly recomended!!!

Went on a jam-packed Friday night. There were so many people crammed around tables, with seats added in the aisles you have more personal space on the Lexington line at rush hour. Our dinner took 40 minutes to arrive, and we had to ask for everything from water to bread...we even had to ask for napkins (they only give you one, despite the name). My 5 Napkin Burger was only o.k. Good meat, cooked exactly to order, but on a soggy, greasy bun. Seriously, $14 for that? Oh, and they charge you for pickles! My friend had the BBQ ribs, which came with a nice sauce but were totally flavorless. Ditto the mac and cheese, which tasted like it came from a blue box. Our bill came to around $35 each, for which we got to sit in a cramped, noisy, overly-heated room and eat a mediocre burger. Will we be back? You guess.

went here last night. the evening statred out okay. in the middle of our dinner a bar fight broke out. the food was so over salted, i will not be able to get my ring on for days. it was also over priced for a burger.

I was in the neighborhood and was intrigued by the name so I decided to try it. I was solo so I sat at the bar. The decor was nice and the place had a fun vibe. I ordered the 5 napkin burger , cooked medium. It was cooked perfectly and very juicy. It was big too - could not finish it. Next time I might get the sauce that comes with it on the side, but not a big deal. I also thought the fries were quite good - hot, crispy and salty. I would happily go back with friends. Enjoy!

5 Napkin Burger is a complete ripoff. I went there the other night and had a $14 burger which was no better than any $5 burger I've had anywhere else. And the homemade fries? MacDonald's at best.

Calling this place bad would be complimentary. The burger was small and dry, the fries were broken into small pieces and were over cooked and greasy, and the place was so loud you had to shout to be heard - which maybe explains the poor service on top of it. If you are looking for the real 5 Napkin Burger stick with Nice Matin - the original restuarant which decided to spin off this trendy poor substitute of a restaurant. They should be ashamed of themselves for trying to pass this off as a place to get a great burger because all you are guaranteed instead is indigestion!

I want to start off saying that I don't really understand the bad comments about 5 Napkin Burger. This is an awesome place with a great atmosphere and service. I got one waiter one day that was bad but I guess you have that in every restaurant It is just a time until the manager realize and he/she is gone. So don't let those bad comments stop you for trying a great place. I live just two blocks away and I go there every so often with my boyfriend and friends. The burgers are delicious and cooked perfectly. I love their beer selection and the staff are very welcome and nice. I took a couple of friends of mine from Brazil and they loved it.
