5 Napkin Burger

My wife and I finally stopped by and had a great experience. We were promptly seated by a hostess who helped my wife with her gluten allergy. The server was very helpful and when I ordered my burger medium rare, it came out that way. The baby slept too.

I've had great service and I've been to 2 of the restaurants. Upper West Side and Astoria. Burgers, Mac and Cheese, Cajun Shrimp Salad are all great. We have gone alone, with friends, parents, brought kids and I have no complaints. But I do have one thing to tell you about. The Kobe Beef Hot Dog. I was highly disappointed. It had absolutely no taste. It ate a small piece and declined taking it home telling the waiter that I didn't like it. They were kind enough to take it off the bill. I will go back again. I love all the other items and I love how they treat the customers. Thank you!!

After walking by and checking out the menu a few times my family and I decided to try it out. We tried to make a reservation but was told that 'a reservation for a party of 6 was already taken for that day and we only take 1 reservation for a party of that size' (?????). So we walked in at 5:30 pm, and despite the place being mostly empty, our party was crammed into a booth made for 4. When we left, there was still enough space for us in the more spacious bench area. My son ordered a burger medium, it came well done. I ordered a chicken sandwich. I thought would be grilled but it was fried :( The menu is unclear. Worst of all, it came with a lettuce leaf on top that had obvious brown spots and a few little slimy areas..ewww gross. Normally I would've sent it back and asked to speak to the manager, but this was a minor family occasion and i didn't want to create a tone, so i just didn't eat it. My other son ordered chicken fingers from the kids menu, as that is usually his -safe- meal. Not here. The chicken fingers are so herby that a typical kids might not like them. Oh and as far as drinks, they are pushing pricey mixed drinks and beer, but didn't have a proper selection of non-alcoholic drinks. Imho this place belongs in midtown where the tourists and business people will probably like it more. The UWS is family oriented, so either cater to us, or we WILL vote with our dollars. Far to many other more reasonable choices in the area.

The meat in these burgers is quite inferior. The fries are greasy. The service is a joke. And the prices are obscene.

The burger was good - big and juicy. It was so big and juicy and rich that it filled my brain entirely and just about came out my ears. A nice feeling, since I love burgers. The noise level at prime time is akin to a runway at JFK but who wants to talk and listen when you can be a disgustng glutton. Nice remake of Ollie's though I miss them and their killer soups.

I just moved to the UWS and was happy to see a midtown favorite of my old stomping ground. The corner location of this restaurant really caught my eye so when I had to pick a place to bring a girl I asked out this was the place to go. The food is good old American favorites with a fancy flair that definitely impressed me and my date. The pricing is may be a bit higher than other places for a burger but this isn't' just another burger joint. It's an experience from the corner location to the industrial cool look inside. Our waitress was so great it gave me and my date another thing to talk about she had great beer suggestions and overall my experience was seamless. Definitely will go back either with my buddies or on another day. Happy to see my midtown favorite has opened up in my new stomping ground.
