    Chaos!

I have eaten at this 5 Napkin Burger one other time, and it was at lunchtime. That experience was lovely. Our family has tried to eat here a few times in the evening but the line is always too long and the place jammed. This time I made a reservation on Open Table. When we arrived again the place was jammed and a large crowd encircled the hostess who looked frightened. One woman was obviously angry and a male host came and took over. We were seated immediately (reservation!) It was so jammed and busy our waiter, although very pleasant, spilled water on my husband. Our food came quickly, and was good, but the overall mood made it hard to appreciate it. I went to the bathroom and was really disgusted. No toilet paper or towels. Paper on the floor. The sink drain wasn't working. Ultimately, I wouldn't go back to this place. It left me feeling really frazzled.

    Dinner

Had a wonderful bacon cheeseburger, The onion rings was yummy. Service Was excellent and everyone else's meal Was very good too. You can have sushi, Fish and chips, quite a large menu to choose from. All good!

Best Veggie Burger in the City

I force myself to deal with the incredibly loudness of this restaurant (sitting outside is one solution) because I absolutely LOVE the veggie burgers. They are the best in NYC and paired with sweet potato fries, a yummy meal. Have always found the servers attentive and pleasant. Wish they would deliver.

    Went somewhere else

I've been to 5-Napkin out in Astoria and enjoyed it. Went to the one on UWS and left to go eat somewhere else. My boyfriend and I went in around 9 pm on a Tuesday night, were seated quickly and given water, and then - bupkus. No server came over, and it was not even that crowded. No one even came over to say, 'be right with you' or anything. We just sat there waiting. And considering the name of the restaurant is 5 napkin burger, there was pretty much just one choice for a 'burger' on the menu. no small version, no different style toppings.... I didn't recall that from my Astoria experience. We were so disappointed, and after waiting and waiting for someone to come over, we finally just gave up and walked out and went somewhere else. Don't think we'll try 5-napkin again.

Not A Good Choice For Lunch

I was up on the upper westside today and I decided to there for lunch. I was seated and waited 10 minutes before any person took my order. I waited another 20 minutes before I got my order .The hamburger was very greasy and the french fires were so salt that I would not eat them. The manager who was in charged there at lunchtime, when I was there was to busy talking all the time to the waitress. He did it the entire time I was there. The food is poor and the service is so-so.

    Ok for a quick meal

I've eaten here many times exclusively for lunch, so if it's that bad why come back? Truth is, it is better than many other neighborhood spots, which says more about the west 80's than the restaurant. The burgers are good. The salads are good. Lately (I mean that last several times I've been there), the string french fries have been limp and soggy with oil. I had to send back a "medium" tuna because it was completely raw. But it is pleasant enough, the food is good enough, and most important it is convenient enough to have me coming back.

    Not impressed

The burger was mediocre, definately not worth the money. Kid friendly? not really ...Eventhough the service was very cordial and tried to accomodate me and kids, they do not have a kids menu and really no room for strollers.
