    Fantastic!

A group of 8 of us went to this trendy hip little place on a Saturday night. The service was great, our waitress was all smiles and made some excellent recommendations. Sometimes it can be tough to get the pacing of apps, salads, and entrees right with an 8-top, but everything was spaced wonderfully - we never felt rushed or pressured. The food was probably the best I've had in the city so far - I HIGHLY recommend the turkey meatloaf. The space seemed a little constrained at first (and to be honest, I wasn't crazy about the chairs for some reason, they were a little uncomfortable) but I never gave it another thought after a couple of drinks and an outstanding dinner. I will definitely be bringing friends to this place - can't recommend it enough! Personally I'd rent out the bathroom to live in, it's beautiful. The menu is a little pricey, but worth it!

    Awesome

I went to 44 & X after the constant urging of my brother and I was completely impressed! The staff was fun, nice and very accomodating. Our waiter, Pedro, was so great. He gave great suggestions for our meal and made us feel very comfortable. Then came the food! I had the short ribs and they were decadent! My friend had the risotto and lobster and that was also to die for. I couldn't think of one complaint and I will go back again and again!

    A great brunch

We had a great rainy-day brunch in this chic all-white space. To start you off, they bring you a nice basket of warm mini-muffins. I ordered the smoked salmon plate with bagel and cream cheese, while my boyfriend had the roast chicken quesadillas. Being hungry, we also split the hazelnut brioche french toast. Everything was superb, including the service. I would definitely go back.

    Perfect

This is one of the best meals I've had in a long time. The Mediterranean Salad was perfection, as was the seabass. This place is amazing and I can't wait to try it for brunch!

    Great food, service poor

After hounding us to order a drink, we ordered a glass of wine each. The wine arrived 25 minutes later after we had finished our salad and reminded the waitress twice- it was Wednesday night and the place wasn't even close to busy. The food was excellent. We decided to split the bill, but my receipt was charged the full amount. She "voided" it, but my card statement was charged for the full amount plus half the amount of the bill. Very incompetent service. The restaurant would thrive with better service. The food is very good and the bathroom is lovely.

    Poor Service

I've been to this restaurant before, and there was some attitude from the staff, but the atmosphere and food were great, so we gave it another shot. We made a reservation the day of. We were the first people to arrive at the restaurant - no one else in the place. When we get to the host, they tell us we're on the waitlist (I was told I had definite reservations) They pull out folding chairs and table from the basement! No one else was in the restaurant yet! Needless to say, we walked out.

    A Fabulous experience

Since I am in my sixties, I obviously have eaten in quite a few restaurants in my time, but I must say that eating at 44&10 Hell's Kitchen has been an exhilerating experience. The food is fabulous, the wait staff could not do enough for my party of eight, the atmosphere was magnificent, the restroom magnificent. I can't wait to go again.
