Go for brunch
Brunch here was fabulous. It was absolutely delicious. I'd recommend going early though (ie-before noon) because then it gets really packed. That's the only down side. Even with a reservation we had to wait over 30 mins to be seated.

Not for brunch, but go for dinner
Great place for dinner, but the brunch lack of choices. It's basically a regular breakfast menu. Just go two doors down to 44 and 1/2 (same owner) and great food and service. The dinner menu is great, the short ribs, the fish dishes which may sometimes lack of spices at my taste are well cooked. Servings are well seized. Waitstaff is great, and accomodating. the decor is not too flashy, lighting at night is dimmed and still allow you to see what's on your plate. The noise level is usually low, which allows you to enjoy a nice intimate dinner.

Wonderful...
Pistachio goat cheese souflee and crispy tilapia were, in fact, heavenly. Just an overall delicious meal!

Not impressed
Went there for brunch this weekend - although there were about 5 waiters and helpers hovering around, no one was taking care of our party - for ex. coffee refills, the food was 'nothing special' and definitely overpriced for the content. The crowd was touristy - probably coming from a nearby hotel - with all their luggage. Definitely not going back there again.

Consistently great
Great food. Great service. I have come here a bunch of times and I am never disappointed. Love the chopped salad. Short ribs are good too. Excellent choice for pre/post theater.

This Restaurant tries way too hard...
Ordered the beet and watercress appetizer which was not impressive but not terrible either. Then had the meatloaf... the meat tasted like it had been left out on the kitchen counter for days. When we complained they changed the order, but the second dish the crispy sea bass was more like oyster soup with sea bass garnish. What a waste of perfectly good fish! The food was not good and the prices super high. Haven't had such subpar meal in long time.

Simply Divine...
I had a birthday dinner here two years ago and I am in agreement with the reviewers who mentioned the Mac & Cheese...one of the best I've ever had. The ambiance is terrific as well....I liked the play of light & dark. Recommend this restaurant highly!!
