What a Find!
We were walking by, 3/25/06 after seeing Jersey Boys and decided to try it. What a great find. The food was excellent and the restaurant was very tastefully decorated. Would highly recommend.

Great place for a great price
Some friends and I ate here in September 2005. It had great food, great service and great prices. Frommer's had recommended the restaurant, and we will definitly go back again next time we visit nyc.

A cozy italian home away from home
I've never been to Naples, but I can only imagine it must feel exactly like 44SW. We stumbled on this place and were really surprised to find incredible food, a cozy and comfortable atmosphere, and truly friendly waitstaff. A must try. Enjoy!

Excellent restaurant
This is a great little restaurant. Have been here 4 or 5 times and was always very happy with the food, service and price. I've given up on other theater district restaurants which overcharge you for mediocre food and rush you through dinner. The food at 44 Southwest is always good, the wait staff always attentive and you can't beat their prices, compared to other restaurants in the area.

Great unexpected find
We just happened to be walking by this place and stepped in on Christmas Eve...what a comfortable and pleasant experience it was. We will definitely return and recommend to friends.

Ask First Before Ordering
I would strongly recommend asking and clearly understanding the price of an item when the price is not listed on the menu. As a typical tourist, I was not familiar with the pricing in New York City. Ordered a pitcher of Sangria and was told that the price was $18.00. When the check arrived at the end of the meal, saw that $28.00 was charged. After talking with the manager, was told that I misunderstood and that the price was always $28.00. As an out-of-towner, how would I have known. Was not willing the come the an accepted agreement.
