We live in the neighborhood and have been meaning to try this place forever. Last night we popped in for a post-show drink and snack. In sum, I'd say quality of food is very good, but overall experience is mixed. Quality of drinks and food were excellent but a tad overpriced. Prices are not much less expensive than their sister restaurant 44 and X down the street. I disagree with the poster who ordered the duck spring rolls and said "good value for the money" the spring roll order came out with 3 paltry rolls, with the rest of the plate covered in filler greens. I almost wondered if thte kitchen ate 1 or 2 of the rolls before sending the plate out! The pizza, however, was excellent. Although the service was nice, it took 45 minutes for the spring rolls to come out. We were slightly annoyed.

We were in New York for one week, for a wedding and needed somewhere to eat that the whole family would enjoy. In a party of about 35 EVERYONE loved the food. It was excellent and service great. Both times, we went with large parties and the food came out hot and all at the same. The duck spring rolls and the calamari were fantastic and great value for the amount you got. The staff were all very friendly and we even ended up showing them some of the wedding photos!

This was by far a California treat! The service was wonderful, ambiance good, service excellent. We ate here before a Broadway show with out the usual rush and crush. We will certainly return and refer others here!

My boyfriend and I thought we'd give this highly reviewed restaurant a try tonight, and we left thoroughly annoyed. While the drinks, appetizer (duck spring rolls) and entrees (organic chicken and pork loin) were delicious, the dessert was bland (molten chocolate cake) and the service was absolultely subpar. Maybe we got the bad server there, who knows. Not only were we ignored in the beginning, but he didn't take our order (someone else did), and when there was something wrong with one of the dishes ( one of the pieces of pork loin was completely raw) he offered absolutely no help or options. All of that would have been fine if it wasn't followed with a dessert and no utensils (again, someone else got them for us after about 10 minutes) and then a mistake on the bill that took about 20 minutes to take care of because he was too busy chatting. Being a server myself, I know what it takes to take care of a table, and his negligence completely ruined the experience. There is no way we'll be returning, despite the tasty food.

We go here all the time for casual dinners. I find that when you stay pretty basic here, the more consistent the food and service are. Great atmosphere and fun staff most of the time. Great martinis and excellent thin crusted pizza. We've had some terrible experiences here before though. One time they brought the risotto out and it was a bowl of rice. Just awful. Another time, we were out with friends and they pretty much forgot about us...Didn't ask us for drinks, and it took a good hour to get the check. Despite the inconsistency, we like this place and do go a lot.

This is by far the best dining experience I have ever had. A friend took me once when I was the city and now it is one of the only places I will eat when I am traveling to New York. The food is phenominal and very reasonably priced. The wait staff is uber friendly and very aware of their tables. My water glass was always full and I didn't have to sit and stare at dirty plates, as they quickly removed them once I was done with my meal. The atmosphere is cozy yet posh, there is always great music playing in the background, and the courtyard is a great place to eat.
