$13 for a mediocre glass of wine is out of control considering the food is pretty average. The pizza was nowhere near as tasty as other places' pizza and the pasta was watery and overcooked. Did not enjoy the dinner very much and was equally shocked when I saw the check. Will not be returning. Nice outdoor garden tho

I've been to 44 1/2 probably 6-8 times, all for brunch, and I have to say that I've never been disappointed. Inside or out, the atmosphere is wonderful, the service is very good, and the food is consistently spectacular. I've never been to a restaurant as much without at least 1 bad experience, but this place has never disappointed!

We stumbled upon this chic little restaurant on a cold February evening by chance. Not knowing of it, we were skeptical but the menu sounded enticing. We were pleasantly blown away by the quality, deliciousness, freshness and interesting flavors of everything we tried - we can't wait to go back! We shared the spinach salad - amazing, the macaroni and cheese and crab-filled tilapia. We were both too full for dessert and normally that doesn't happen. Definitely worth the trip!!!

First time here for brunch this morning, even though we only live around the corner. We were very pleasantly surprised by the yummy brunch and nice atmosphere of 44 1/2. Will definitely be going back.

I've been here a number of times. The outdoor patio is a great place to come for drinks before a show, and the food is delicious. Their menu has a lot of option and everything I've tried has been tasty. My friends and I like the thin crust pizzas and the seafood, but I've head the steak is good too. Nice servers and a cute setting makes this one of my favorite places in the neighborhood.

We ate at 44 1/2 the other night and were totally disappointed. The food was OK, but it was like eating at a cute little french nosh-like cafe but for fine dining prices. We left and HAD TO GO EAT AGAIN because we were still starving. The waiters are cute but very green. Service was bad for what you pay for and the atmosphere that you're in. Be prepared to wait a while and pay a lot. The wine list is excellent but if you want that kind of "be seen and waste your money on a lot of food that the garnishes are bigger then the entree" then go to there sister restaurant next store cause at least its busy.

We just happened on to this place on our way to a play. They showed us the menu and garden patio and we were sold. We thought the food was excellent. Our server was very attentive, efficient and gave great wine recommendations. It was kind of noisy on the patio from nearby places but we just thought this was part of the New York Experience.
