Decided after an impromptu Bloomies trip to buy new sunglasses now that it is FINALLY warming up (smoky glass, oversized, Sofia Loren style glasses with low slung, golden arms - to die for fabulous!) I saw this place in the listing by the elevators and decided to stop in for lunch. My new leather soled stilletto sandals slipped around a bit as I crossed the floor, but I made it look like a shimmy! It was a little hot, so I wanted to take off my poncho, but didn't want to muss my makeup, so left it on. I wanted soup, but since I was warm, I ordered a cold salad trio: a scoop each tuna, sonoma chicken and egg salad on a bed of lettuce. AND: it was served with a small forty carrots frozen yogurt! Baby, I scraped the plate with my fork to get it all because it was so delicious! It was a banner day - my recent "makover" drew some looks of appreciation, and the lunch was fabulous!

Whenever I'm in the Bloomingdale's neighborhood, I have lunch at 40 carrots and order the same thing - carrot soup and the half turkey-swiss sandwich. Today the soup was less carroty and more milky. The sandwich was not as full as it usually is (it's not overstuffed to begin with), and the pretzel roll looked as if it had been sitting around for a day or so. The yoghurt was still delicious, although the portion was quite smaller than usual. I went later in the lunch period, around 2:30, so maybe they were getting a little short on food and had to stretch things a bit. Whatever, I hope this is just a temporary decline in quality.

Went there for lunch while at Bloominndale. My Lasagna were very blend at best. Way too much cheese, the pasta was completely overcooked. My friend had mac and cheese and it wasn't much better. I have to say her froyo was excellent though. Afterall, that's what they are famous for.

This review is only for the frozen yogurt bar in the front. I have been coming here for years for the frozen yogurt. I have tried tons of different yogurt places around the city, and 40 carrots is by far the best! There is always a line but it goes by quickly. I love how they fill up the small cup so that the yogurt is towering over the top. My favorite is the coffee flavor. Try it you wont be disappointed!

40 Carrots - located within Bloomingdales - has been with us for over 30 years. Since the beginning, they've been known for their incredible yogurts. In that time, they've greatly expanded on both the yogurts, and the menu as a whole. As I only go for the yogurts, that's all I can comment on. When I go, I usually grab a spot at the long counter, and pig out on one of the many flavors now offered at 40 Carrots -with some topping or another, and a cup of coffee. Scrumptious. The yogurt's taste is NOT at all like what you'd find in supermarkets - it's rich, and incredibly flavorful. If you're in the area, or in Bloomie's - head upstairs and enjoy. You won't be disappointed.

The consistent queue is testament to the outstanding quality of this frozen yoghurt. My ratings are only for the yoghurt. For some variety, always go for today's special. We've never been disappointed. The toppings aren't as good as those from Pinkberry & Red Mango, and should be left out. However, stay away from the rest of the menu as their entrees tends to be overcooked and too salty (despite the "health-food" slant of this place).
