    forget it

I left my local thai place which is not great and rode up to pick up my take out. Not worth it. I have traveled through thailand and eaten in huts and it was better. It's cheap but nothing worse than spending money on bad food be it cheap or expensive. It's always disapointing. Don't bother.

Don't Miss Out On A Hidden Gem

I grew up locally but moved to central New York for college. I found 35 while searching for a parking spot. I've been hooked ever since! I'm always bringing friends over every time I'm in town and have yet to hear mixed reviews. The food isn't your generic, greasy Chinatown fare but something you'd find in NYC's trendier (albeit more expensive) neighborhoods. Presentation is elegant and both lunch and dinner portions are just right. Menu options are numerous. I always have a difficult time choosing because I want to try everything...all the appetizers, fish or curries, pad thai's or rice dishes. Meals I'll argue are made-to-order. Seafood is fresh which only adds to value. In places like these, people expect small portions at high prices but not at 35. Likewise one has to judge a restaurant not only by its food and prices but service (which those prices typically pay for). And service here is what many restaurants of this caliber should aspire to. I'd have to agree with one reviewer who said it's like going to a close friend's home. The managerial and wait staff actually seem to enjoy their work and want to make every dining experience a memorable one. They're attentive, easygoing and very personable. I've eaten at 35 when it's been hectic and busy and when there's barely anyone coming in...their service remains the same: excellent! The atmosphere's very inviting and truly one of Tribeca's hidden gems. Don't be turned off by their location behind Pearl Paint or the dimmed lights. Folks who peek in and walk away are missing out...this restaurant's a must-try!

    Fantastic!!

I thought the restaurant was very romantic. The service was great, our waitress came back every couple of minutes to ask if everyone was working out. Me and my boyfriend thought the dinner was worth it and we had a great time and a new experience ;)

    absolutely delicious and super fresh

35 offers some of the most flavorful, mouth-watering thai food in all of manhattan, but for us in tribeca, it is truly the best. being that there are few restaurants in tribeca that deliver, and those that do are often at ends of the spectrum, expensive and decent or cheap and bad. the food at 35 is not just terrific value, it is consistently highest in quality and freshness, too. the people who take the delivery orders over the phone are extremely helpful in describing the dishes and in accommodating to taste. delivery is fast and the food comes piping hot. the portions are very generous. i work for the delivery department of a high volume restaurant and understand the intricacies of the business and so, appreciate very much when restaurants do delivery well. i very highly recommend 35, this restaurant does not disappoint.

    Great Dining

Had a late afternoon meal with three of my friends there. Food was great, staff was very friendly and even taught me a few words in Thai! Felt very welcome there. The food was also very affordable while at the same time still very authentic and tasty! At the end of our meal we even got complimentary dessert! Definitely will visit again soon!

    A Thai to Try

Dinner on 30 Mar 07. Food very good, presentation nice. Staff attentive and asked how spicy to make the main course - good touch. Hot wok very good. Curry a bit soupy - but traditional. Wine selection fine. Atmosphere marvelous - one can talk and hear oneself and the others at table

    Good Thai food in Tribeca

Much to my disappointment, the only thai restaurants in Tribeca closed down last year, since then I have been searching for a new local thai place. I have orderd from many (lemongrass and others) and have not found anything authentic and worth while until 35. This is a small restaurant with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was all tasty and the portions were a good size. The menu is larger than a lot of other Thai places with a lot to choose from and a nice variety of options. We are happy to welcome 35 into the neighborhood and will continue to dine in and take out regularly.
