Food: passable, night-time service: bad
I call 3 Star Diner for deliveries, never go there to order and eat. The food is ok, but nothing to praise. This diner uses the same artificial, low-quality ingredients as any other standard diner, and the cooks can barely put it together. If you're desperate in the middle of the night, however, this joint is open 24/7, and they don't usually take very long to delivery. The phone order takers can be rude, most are inexperienced...speak as clearly and slowly as you can but these guys will have to ask you to repeat the info over and over. Part of the problem is that they don't speak English well. But, the main problem is they don't care whether you call; it seems like they are trying to disuade you from calling again. The LAST thing I need is to get into an argument with someone taking my food order at 4::00 AM, so I usually put up with mild abuse and get off the phone quick as possible. A new diner is opening across the street from 3 Stars. Actually, it's the old Green Kitchen diner, with a fresh coat of paint. When it opens for business I will forget all about 3 Stars if it's better, even by a hair.

Great Food, Poor Service
Food is the only reason to go back to the 3 Star Diner. The waitresses are are not good. They forget to bring drink orders and once they realize you don't have a drink, it takes five minutes....but the food is good. Great people watching in this place...

A great place overall !
This diner is the classic "Greek Diner" type. Simple food.. an ok atmosphere...with a great group of hardworking people trying to make a hard business workout. This week I went to 3 Stars four times and the food and service was fine. When I arrived the manger (who i think is also the owner) greeted me with a warm smile and a simple Hello. From his expression I understood that he really cared about the business and tried his best to make my experience a little more pleasent. Overall, I think that if you want a simple meal this is a great place to go.

Great soups! Service fast and good....
Stop by often en route to the gym and love their soups, breakfast items, and sandwiches, and prices are surprisingly low -- great value!

A good back-up &One of the better diners
I was a little shocked by the previous review not because 3 star has never let me down -- they have -- but because the burgers with fries are $6.50 and milkshakes $3.25. Did this guy seriously tip them $13 +? Lack of reason starts early with this guys review... I have received in the wrong order twice and a slight mistake a couple more times and I have never had a problem getting the replacement within the 1/2 hr, usually less.. but then I live 3 blocks away. I am a regular customer and I won't order or recommend them in the future if they fail to apologize and make it right - and I let them know what "right" is.. once an immediate refund to my credit card. Sometimes you just must put that out there. You can always check the bag before the delivery person leaves - you can give a way reduced tip especially when an order is that late.. And call the diner to let them know their delivery staff did not receive the tip you would have given had his arrival time been reasonable. 3 Star diner is pretty fantastic about making things right.. explain how it inconvenienced you. Don't just moan and groan without a realistic suggestion on how to improve the situation. Their Saute Dishes are quite good.. and 1 order will feed two girls ;) Ordering milkshakes...for delivery? Be serious.

Three Star Serves Up A Goose Egg
I have made the unfortunate mistake of ordering in from 3 Star Diner. My girlfriend and I each ordered a burger and a milkshake. We waited and waited, and 45 minutes after placing the order I called them again for an update. The girl on the phone was very nice and assured me that our food had just left and was on the way. Half an hour later, dinner arrived-- we had waited almost two hours for soggy burgers, limp fries, and two watery shakes (in the wrong flavors) that looked like someone else had already drank half of each cup. I decided to call them again, now for the third time, to tell them about my lousy experience. The man at 3 Star listened and offered to resend our food, which I accepted, and then he hung up on me while I was confirming our order. It has been over three hours since I placed my first call, and not surprisingly, dinner hasn't arrived. Just think--for $33, this could have been you. How'd this place get 3 Stars?
