    I'll miss this spot most

A joy to eat breakfast at this favorite diner.

    Tasty breakfast!

I had breakfast here earlier this week -- ordered corned beef hash and scrambled eggs -- and I really enjoyed it. There was nothing particularly exciting or new about the food, but it was tasty indeed. Not greasy, not dry, very flavorful, and a decent portion. The atmosphere and service were fine. I will certainly return next time I'm in the neighborhood at breakfast-time.

    A resounding "eh"

I don't know about their breakfast, but their lunch food is barely average, by diner standards of course. Burger was a frozen burger patty competently cooked served on an unusually Wonderbread-y bun, OK diner fries. Grilled cheese was pretty much the same idea. Certainly nothing to actually recommend it other than proximity, and rave-worthy? Compared to what I ask, with a great deal of trepidation! Service was friendly and as attentive as necessary.

    3 Stars

I come here almost twice a week for only breakfast. For some reason I haven't tried the lunch here, it is really just the way I am and has nothing to do with 3 Stars. The service is ok and varies by the person serving you; some of the people who work there are quick with bad customer service, and some have great with customer service with quick service. The main reason I go to 3 Stars is really the value. If you go there before 11:00 am and order breakfast there is an additional savings to the combo meals. I won’t mention the prices here but you can’t beat them anywhere else. I also love the atmosphere there-even though most people who wrote a review did not enjoy the atmosphere-because of the old fashioned New York look. The diner sports both tables and individual stool seating; and it is adorned by mirrors, golden facets and a landscape painting. I recommend 3 Stars highly for breakfast if you live in the Upper West Side, if you live somewhere else, don’t waste your time traveling here; try to find a diner near you, 3 Stars it isn’t worth the time to travel to.

    Great breakfasts

We come here for breakfast... and for breakfast it is TRULY delicious. We have never had a problem with the way things are prepared and the prices are amazingly low. When this place goes I don't know how many more great greasy spoons will be left in this city.

    Mediocre Food

My boyfriend and I like to come here for breakfast because it's around the corner and cheap, but by no means should you come here expecting great diner food. While the restaurant is tiny and has an endearing run down diner atmosphere, the food is bland and mediocre across the board. My eggs always come overdone, but the hash browns are underdone. The toast has gotta be Wonderbread and the coffee is weak. It's really too bad, because if the food were good, 3 Stars would be a great hole-in-the-wall diner.

    Meatball says yes

Good burger, excellent hot open turkey sandwich- I love breakfast here. The decor is old looking diner inside.
