Not a bad place as reviews say

Well - I live in the area, and I frequent here often. Yes, they short with you on the phone when you order, hello Soup Nazi? Anyone remember that? Sometimes you have to suffer for the food, which is excellent in my opinion. I am a regular there and they know me now, and you just have to overlook the curt behavior on the phone and realize that they are extremely busy and don't have time for chit chat. The service has always been excellent, even though I had an argument with one of the managers there with regard to sitting in a booth. I call him the booth nazi, and he got pretty mad - but I could not help myself that day :) The food is so good that I still do frequent there and while a bit on the expensive side, you get tons of it. Burgers are great, and the salads are wonderful too. If you are looking for service that kisses your *@!, forget it. But service is swift and the food is worth the money.

    Pretty decent food, indecent service

Be careful with delivery/pick-ups. While placing an order, recently, I was hung up on after being shouted at for 2 minutes straight (a lot of background noise at the time). It was extremely rude and I vowed never to return. However I have many times because it is convinient, fast, and while expensive, pretty delicious. Perhaps their other locations are friendlier. I reccomend the turkey club, the egg salad, and the burgers.

Designer Prices for Less than Diner Food

Looking for a quick bite after a visit to the Met, we stopped here because it appeared to be a diner - so we assumed a varied menu and reasonable prices. Only after we were seated did we see the crazy prices. If you can imagine, it was $19.95 for a Chicken Souvlaki and $27.95 for a pasta main course! We didnt have time to go look for another place and so we settled for what turned out to be very mediocre and paid for it. I wish we had just eaten at the Met cafe. At least quality would have matched price.

I WAS going to give them a good review!

I went on this site to see what time they started breakfast. Disappointed by the poor reviews, I figured that I'd write a nice one for them.... right after I ordered. I call them up. Me: Delivery please. Guy: Address? Me: *tells address* Guy: I can't hear you. Me: *says it again* Guy: I can't hear you. Then he proceeds to hang up on me. Yes, I was hung up on by a restaurant. I called back to perhaps yell profanities at him but I hung up before I could. Hate to say it because I was an avid Three guys fan until about 5 minutes ago.

    Not recommended

There used to be no choice but now with Salata and Champignon open beside them 3 guys better step it up if they want anyone to order from them. My experience: Food is overspriced and not very good - tap water heated pasta, delivery guy didn't bring change and then says he'd "return" and didn't - called them they said they'd send him back - didn't ... this was $9 change I was owed - I wasn't just being cheap! lso when you call for delivery they are rude - muttering out "3 guys" and then mumbling through you order.

I should have cooked at home

After a long day at the Met my boyfriend was in the mood for some down-home food, particularly fried chicken. So we decided to try 3 Guys because it seemed to be one of only a couple unpretentious yet comfortable places to offer such food in the area north of the museum. Now I’ve been a long time resident of the area. As a matter of fact I grew up just one block away, lived there for 20 years, but I barely remember stepping foot into the place. I think once or twice I ate there when I was a child when it was named Ottomanelli’s. Thanks to this last visit I now know why it’s been so long. I had the eggplant parmesan, and while not terrible it seemed pre-prepared, like it was frozen at one point. It came with pasta, spaghetti and marinara sauce. Ok people, let’s all agree to take the pasta out of the water before it’s a soft jumbo mess. Let me move on to my boyfriend’s fried chicken, which was the most disappointing meal. First of all the pieces were so small I really though they fried one of those Cornish game hens. I thought he didn’t get any breasts because they look like thighs. They were about the size of a KFC drumstick, I kid you not. Then the breading was not even crispy, I don’t mean extra crispy, there was NO crunch and there seemed to be more fried skin and fat than meat. I felt really bad because I know how much my boyfriend was looking forward to it. You’d think that a non-fast food place, although they prepare many other types of food, could do at least just as good of a job if not better than their fast food counterparts. He orders a hamburger, to complete his incomplete dinner, and the waiter asks if he wants anything on it like lettuce or tomato. Ok, I understand charging extra for cheese but they charge for every single addition, lettuce is one price, tomato is another. I think onion and mayo were like $.35 each too.

    Bad service

Decided to try it one night with my friend who had had a long flight that day. We got the chicken tenders. They were not bad just not worth the price. The waiters just stand there with their arms folded and stare at you, even though they do that I never got a refill on my diet soda even though I asked for it! This restaurant is too expensive for the quality and service is not good. Everytime I walk past there I feel sorry for the people who are eating there. You can get much better food elsewhere in the area.
