Great value, "intimate" seating
I have been to 26 Seats at least a half dozen times. The food is consistently great, and the service is delightful and very unassuming. We went back last Saturday night after having not been there for many months, and my only complaint is that our seating arrangement was very tight and uncomfortable. We were a party of 2, made a reservation, showed up when almost no one was in the restaurant (at 7 p.m.), but we were seated at a table for 6, which by the time we left, had been filled with two other couples. We could hardly get out of our chairs, and felt like we had lost our privacy completely. This has never happened to us before, and we still enjoyed our food immensely, but you should be forewarned that this restaurant is VERY intimate. One more positive note -- the prices are unbeatable, for both food and wine.

Some of the best french food in the city
I have eaten here several times it is tiny only 26 seats but the wait staff is very attentive. All of the food is great my friend works at a french resturant in mid town but we still dine here at least once a month. I could not belive the food when I had it one of the best kept secrets in the LES. I am going again tonight if you head down there on the weekend make a reservation. you will need it

Amazing value, charming place
I ate here last night with my fiancee and my parents, and it was a great choice--good food, good prices, nice atmosphere, a very warm and comfortable place to sit and talk on a weeknight...it has nice touches that make it a very special place...and it's great if you are looking for a nice, romantic date but are on a budget.

Not Recommended
Cozy is an overstatement. We counted more than 26 seats one saturday night and everyone was feeling cramped. Getting up during your meal to let some stranger pass you so they can sit is not my idea of a nice meal out. Especially since the food was so average at best. Maybe the quality is better when the place has way less than 26 seats filled.

Think twice
The steak had a lot of fat on it. The fish was alright, but nothing to write home about (and had bones in it).

Great Place
I've been here on several occasions with both large and small groups of people and it's been a great experience everytime. For the price, the food is very good. The onion soup is some of the best in town.

Wonderful and Affordable French Food!
This restaurant is wonderful. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced (decent portions). The staff is super nice and friendly. It's a great place for a cozy romantic dinner or a big get together with friends. I would highly recommend.
