Great Backyard on nice day
While in nolita my friends and I found this place. We loved the food and the cocktails. Great place to relax after a long day and have dinner and drinks. I look forward to trying the brunch here.

Cool & Fun! Oh - and Great Food Too
I went to 24 Prince on a Sat night with my boyfriend, we were 15 minutes late for our reservation and they held our table which was nice! The place was very cool and had a great vibe! The food was GREAT, we had a wonderful appetizer then I had the scallops and my boyfriend had the mac & cheese (which we both thought was a little to rich - oh well!) I will go back! YUM.

Comfort food with uncomfortable service
We went as a party of 4 on a slow Tuesday night around 8. Our wine came immediately after ordering, but we never got to enjoy it with our food because it took the kitchen 40 minutes to send out plates. Of course we had to order another bottle--perhaps that was their intention all along. My meatloaf was excellent--get the sauce on the side because you'll get more of it. I ordered the apple pie for dessert; it was good but shouldn't have taken 25 minutes to assemble when the restaurant was half empty by this point. Basically, good food, great space, cavalier and slow service.

Great New American Comfort Food!
Loved the food here. The portions were just perfect for ordering serveral items and sharing. Very resonable wine bottle prices and staff was attentive. Butternut squash pizza and baked camberet were great!

OH migosh - YUM.
As a transplanted Southern Belle I find a great deal of comfort and value in this comfort cuisine spot. The food is delicious and satisfying and the staff is kind, efficient and accomodating. I visit two or three times a week. In the warmer months I like to hang out at one of the front tables open to the street and watch the NOLITA happen. (You can't imagine the range of celebrities I've seen while perched from this spot). Pretending not to notice is so much fun from here with a PEAR POP in hand - try it. It rocks! If I'm with a larger crowd, the back garden is a perfect cool gathering spot away from the craze. In winter I like to tuck away at one of the cozy corner tables. Last night I visited and wanted to keep it light. The Mixed Green Salad and Seared Tuna over Beans was just perfect. The desserts are all amazing. I have tried them all by now. Great spot. Go.

Disappointing experience
I went to 24 Prince on a Saturday night with a group of 5. The inside of the restaurant was completely empty, since everyone wanted to sit in the garden. We were fine with sitting inside, put our names down, and were told by the host that it would only take a minute. My party stood by the bar to wait to be seated and it still took 15 minutes to be seated, in a completely empty restaurant. From there, things just got worse. After ordering an appetizer and 5 entrees, it took one hour for our one appetizer to appear. It then took an extra half hour for the food to appear and 4 of the entrees we ordered were SALADS. After asking our waiter several times where the food was while waiting, we were told that it would be "another minute" and that the kitchen was "backed up." The compensation for our wait was free dessert, which ended up being one piece of the driest, most unappetizing chocolate cake to split among 5 people. Furthermore, the food itself wasnt even very good and the portions were very small. For $9, their endive salad literally consists of 5 pieces of endive with some toppings nestled in between. I will not be going back. The food was decent but the portions were tiny and the service was very poor.

Great Backyard Garden with good food
Last night a few of us went to 24 prince and sat in their backyard. Everyone really loved the outdoor space that they had in their backyard even though it was a warm night. I started with the beet salad and had the salmon for my main, enjoyed them both. Make sure you have at least a bite of the mac and cheese and ice cream sandwich they are both to die for.
