230 Fifth has amazing views. I've come on foggy distressing evening and on amazing summer time season evening and believe in me it is not fun in distressing environment.Pick up a red dress and come onto the roof, they're free to use! Drinks are costly as dreadful but mixed extremely. The viewers are in their late 20s. If you are not dolled up well I think about you may be positioning out on the line a while.

My husband and I purchased the option 1 tickets open bar and food. We were not sure if we should have dinner before we arrived because we figured place would be packed and not enough food. To out surprise they were very organized at the door. There was no wait time even at the coat check. We handed the gent the tickets , checked in out coats. And took the elevator to the top floor. There was more than enough food for everyone and it was very busy. They had tables set up with food that was always refilled the minute it looked light. In addtion to the staff passing food around. The food was very fresh and hot until about 1am. The tickets were well worth the money for an open bar, food, dancing and true NY experience. I would recomend this venue for the food and experience anytime. We had a wonderful new year eve.

Came up to 230 Fifth with the recommendation from a guy at the hotel since the bar at Hotel Gansevoort was closed. Nondescript building front, and looks like you're just entering a large apartment until the front desk guy comes over to take a looksy at your ID and tells you to proceed straight on to the elevators. Wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but it is what it is. Up the elevator we go and we enter in a dark lit room with a bar in the back. We go upstairs and then through a hall that was lined with single restrooms- and then that led us to the rooftop. Gigantic umbrellas lined the sides that could fit maybe 20-30 people under each. The night I went it was raining so the crowd was sparse and everyone was sitting in the dry areas. The cocktails were pricy but tasty and strong. It would be great to come on a dry night but from what I saw on that rainy evening, I liked Orderd the calamari, fresh cut fries and romli burgers. the food came out fast and tasted for very very fresh. I was pretty amazed that a rooftop bar would have food tasting this good.

I have lived in NYC for most of my life, so Sunday brunch is a ritual. I can honestly say this was the most unappetizing Sunday Brunch I have EVER had!! It took the waitress 15 minutes to notice we were there, I asked for water and a glass of water showed up 20 minutes later. All the other tables were given pitchers of water. The food was disappointing!! I have very bad food allergies, and asked that something was left off the sandwich I ordered. They left almost everything off....They brought me bread with lettuce, tomato, and cucumber. The sandwich looked like it was thrown together and the salad that came with it was thrown on top of the "sandwich". When I asked to order something else the VERY rude manager fixed the original order and gave it back to me, looking even messier then the first time.

I went here for Brunch this afternoon. I ordered the large Cobb Salad Supreme and my boyfriend ordered the Three Cheese Grilled Cheese with fries. This place had the most disappointing brunch we ever ever had together. The grilled cheese was greasy, and the fries were cold and stale tasting. The chicken in my salad was dry and the dressing was watery. The food was just plain unappetizing. At $14 for a salad, and $11 for a grilled cheese we would have been better off eating brunch at a highway rest stop.

Came here Christmas eve was surprised to find the place open. Had a wonderful time, met people from around the US who were visiting as well as some local New Yorkers. The view is fabulous, I tried the apple hot cider, was delicious. Its a bit cold to hang out on the outdoor part but the inside space is warm with large windows to view the city lights. Prices are average for a rooftop in Manhattan and what I expected. Would recommend the place especially people visiting
