    Excellent

The crowd is mostly 50+ but two 30 somethings were made to feel very welcome. Service is excellent and the food was fantabulous! I recommend the baked clams and the 21 burger. Worth the price! Yum!

speakeasy and pay way too much

Wow, what a disappointment. The food is o.k. at best, the decor is tired and the service is stuffy. 21 Club makes me feel like I'm living in the Depression, except of course for the bloated tab. The website advertises the famous people who sat at each of the numbered tables. I had someone coming in from out of town choose our table - made the reservation and even confirmed it for a particular table - however, when we arrived, they told us because we were only two, and the table seats four, we couldn't sit there after all. Finally, the guy in the white jacket handing out towels in the men's room is a throw back to 1950s Alabama. Don't bother with the 21 Club.

    Not too shabby

I live in Westchester and met my wife here for her birthday after work. I had to wait for about 45 minutes in the lounge. It's very dark and comfortable. A double vodka was about $10 a pop. There were a lot of people there getting off work meeting with friends (all in their 50s and 60s) mostly male. I'm told lots of people in media management hang out here. The people were friendly and not full of themselves. They were there to kick back after work, have a few drinks, brag about what they accomplished that particular day, and relax. When my wife got there and were seated, the fantastick hospitality began. If my eyebrow twitched the servers would have been at my table instantly. The food was straightforward and no nonsense like the customers. Everything was perfect. I would recommend 21 club at least once for the unique experience to see the historic restaurant. When there, they don't have a problem taking you on a tour. There's lots of floors and lots to look at. You can also check out the wine cellar. But you may have to hold off on the wine tasting there, for around $400 a pop. If dining in an old speakeasy interests you, then check out 21 Club.

    Worth a visit

On a recent trip to NYC five of us stopped in for a drink. We did not eat but I have eaten there in the past. Our service was excellent and I do not feel the place is stuffy. On the contrary it is very comfortable. Pricey yes but worth it.

Rather go to the local Diner

Honestly everyone, what is so special about 21 club?! I have dined here close to ten times and EVERY time I am so unimpressed! The food to me is like diner food with a little extra kick, and 4 times the price! The service is stuck up, and sometimes slow, the only thing worth coming for is the dessert. I will give it to 21 though, the Wine list cannot be beat.

    Best of all

As tourists on three trips to NYC, we tried all of the glitzy, expensive restaurants. This was my favorite - price and food. Enjoyed it more than the rest.

    Superior

Just back from lunch at 21. Excellent in every sense. Service, ambiance, food presentation, taste and quantity. Besides an ambitious a la carte menu, there is a $33 prixe fixe with some very good-looking choices. A fine experience.
