Orange Ricotta Muffin - must have

OK, I can't afford the clothes or the home goods, but they are lovely. Service can be strange, but overall, it's a unique, cute place. The baked goods/desserts are outstanding. If they have the Orange Ricotta Muffin, it's scary good.

    Diamond in the Rough

Superb brunch and dinner. Friendly staff. Very tasty dishes across the board. Best thing about it is it's usually not too busy....everyone is eating at Pastis or Markt, where the food is not half as good! A hidden gem and I hope it stays that way, but it deserves kudos.

    Awesome

I went here recently with a friend after exploring the market and I'm definately going back. The atmosphere is great- a cute, chic restaurant in a boutique. The food is awesome- I tried the fish tacos- excellent. Dessert was amazing too. A must try!

    Very nice place for lunch

I had a great meal here recently. I had the tuna burger which was served with guacamole and plantains. I also had a lovely soup. My friend had the chicken curry which was kind of spicy but very interesting. Quaint setting and all around good vibes!

    What happened?

I can understand paying premium prices for great food. I'm all for it, judging by the lack of quality in so many NYC restaurants. But something has gone seriously wrong here recently. It used to be a lovely, fresh and carefully prepared dining experience. I stopped eating here because the care and love that was once present in the food has disappeared all together. Time to bring in a culinary SWAT team to restore this place to it's original and shortlived concept of cooking well. It's so sad when this happens in so short a period of time. A radical transformation has taken place for the worse. Another one bites the dust!

    Awesome

Awesome, awesome, awesome! The food had a creative and delicious mix of flavors and ingredients, everything was very fresh and the staff was very attentive. Not necessarily the best bang for your buck but then, welcome to the Meatpacking District. Farhi's store is a great backdrop for a relaxed dinner or a lively brunch.

    Confused

I do not understand how this place won New York Magazine's Best Brunch place for 2006. My coffee arrive iced cold. To place an order or get any service, we had to flag down our waiter. The serving of pancakes ($10) is enough to feed a small child. The fish tacos at $17 consisted of small pieces of fried fish in a fried hard taco shell with a bunch of herbs carelessly tossed on top.
