This is for those people who want to try true Tokyo sushi. The chef is young and inventive but does not stray from tradition. Go before it is discovered, you will not regret your decision. Omakase all the way.

I went there with high expectations- i mean, the sushi chef from jewel bako!- but i left absolutely disappointed. The food was downright subpar. The kakiage was a nest of breading- i didn't taste shrimp or anything else. The amadai sounds interesting but... wasn't. The clams were nothing special. The sushi and sashimi were so mediocre- i think my neighborhood sushi restaurant is better. If you're willing to spend $100 per person, I don't recommend coming here.

This is the best sushi in new york. Traditional japanese style. The chef was trained in japan for many years and the sushi you get shows it. The chef was formally at jewel bako. This new restaurant is for the sushi lover. If you want california rolls, philadelphia cream cheese rolls, or mango walnut tuna with pineapple rolls go elsewhere. If you want real sushi at its finest, this is the place.
