    I just love it !

Everytime I go there I have an amazing time. The food is really good, I mean I'm picky so if I say that I love it I mean it. The atmosphere is very nice, great place to bring a date or a big group of friends, they always play good music and the staff is usually friendly. I totally recommend it !!

    Recently dissapointed

Went to 1492 twice with big groups of clients twice in the last month and was very disapointed. the food is decent if not incredible but after two poor experiences i will not be back. the first time the heater was broken and when i asked the waitress about the problem she told our party that the problem was being fixed as we spoke. it never was, and my clients ate dinner in there scarves and hats. i tried again, and this time, two weeks later, had a waitress who had no idea about the food. the whole unprofessional vibe at the cost is really not worth the trip

    Not so much...No

Went here last night with a group of 9 or so people. The sangria was just OK. The food was subpar, to say the least. I ordered the chorizo lollipops which I was excited about from other reviews...not so much. The chorizo was extremely low quality like it had been taken out of a plastic zip lock bag from the grocery store. I also ordered the porcini mushroom croquettes, but oddly I received ridiculously garlicky sauteed mushrooms...like the kind from a can. My friend ordered the warm seafood salad which was also subpar and consisted of a bagged salad mix and three shrimps. While the polite waiter was exceedingly attractive and accented, he seemed to have trouble figuring out what we ordered. One other thing to mention is that if you are dining in the rustic back room, watch out for dripping condensation from the skylights above you. I've had much better tapas at El Cid and Barna which are a tremendously better value.

    Great, Inventive Food, Decent Service

We have been here a couple times the last week and we love it. Although the service is a little spotty, the food is great with all the great Spanish tapas staples. Try the chorizo lollipops, they are amazing! Also the chorizo pizza, oysters, albondigas and pantumacat, all amazing! For dessert, we had the shocolate souffle which was to die for.

    The best tapas in town!

This place got really something. Every time i went i felt like i was in Spain. The food is superb... all the new tapas and ingredients mixed with lots of imagination. The new Chef really knows what´s doing. Congratulations!

    Costs more, delivers less

Atmosphere could be inviting, especially the back outdoor space but the food is so average as to not make it worth except perhaps for drinks. Everything was served tepid, even the tap water. Had seven tapas, half of which were rather poor. The fillig for the croquettes and cod-stuffed poquillos were overly smooth yielding an unpleasant texture and, again, served at just over room temp. The dates with bacon had clearly been cooked hours ago. The bread with vegetables was well-cooked but bland.

    Getting better and better!

I went there last week-end and it was a great experience, from what I understood they have a new chef and the food was fantastic and so was our waitress. Great Sangria and an amazing wine list. We had the testing plate, the date wrapped in bacon (a classic), the spanish salad and the lobster stew and it was just delicious, I will totally go back and try the paella next time. And don't forget to get a dessert, I couldn't tell you wich one to get since they are all good (we had 3 out of the 4 that they have). I really had a good time there. Just make sure to make a reservation, it gets really busy on week-ends.
